The Player 2 PixelCast 153

There has been a lot of talk over the past year or so that this current console generation (and era in gaming in general) has been somewhat disappointing. While it's true that there have been some stellar games post-pandemic, and even some all-timers (Elden Ring, Tears of the Kingdom, Baldur's Gate 3), it's hard to feel that the cadence of quality has dropped. Is it largely in out rose-coloured imaginations, though? One can never fully discount the possibility...
Over the past few years, the PixelCast has done the odd episode looking back at classic years in gaming past, and with this episode we have reached maybe out last. So, please join Tim, Rob and Renee as they mentally return to 2017 and discover that (spoilers) it really was as good as they remembered.
