Anyone Can Play, Anyone Can Win
In this episode, Jason and Jonathon discuss the "selfish" absence of Jordan and their most recent performance at the Cain Center for the Arts. The economy of living off of standup is a puzzle that they have to figure out. Jason speaks about his trip to a few cities in Spain and Jonathan's lack of travel experience. After playfully roasting the fire department, Jonathan praises his experience at The Comedy Catch in Chattanooga, TN and the charming city. The guys soon dive into a discussion about movies, book adaptations, and storytelling. They claw through Jason's reoccurring anger at No Country For Old Men where new details emerge, the works of Wes Anderson and his often wearisome style, movie editing, and a return to comedy.
After the break, the guys discuss at length the bizarre case of double amputee and professional cornhole player, Dayton James Webber, and his arrest for alleging murdering a friend. Buckle up. This might get them in trouble. The conversation deviates into tangents about hobbies, professionalism, amputees & murder, and hotel experiences. If all of that wasn't bad enough, they tackle the new Sperm Racing World Cup and all of the various logistical and disturbing challenges. They round out the episode with a Would You Rather considering having a personal driver at your request versus always getting bumped to first class when flying. The answers might surprise you.
