Toapanta has more than 10 years' experience in the elevator industry, including as a branch manager for TK Elevator, based in Burbank, California; a branch and regional sales manager for Amtech Elevator Services, an Otis affiliate serving Southern California; and project manager for the Wilshire Grand for Otis. From Pepperdine Graziadio Business School, Toapanta holds a BS in business administration and management and an MBA with a double emphasis in finance and marketing.
