The NSW State Government has today introduced proposed changes that would see protestors fined a maximum penalty of $22,000 for obstructing a railway.
This new legislation aims to balance the peoples right to protest with public safety. The NSW Council for Civil Liberties opposes the changes, believing them to be undemocratic in nature.
