Spoiler Alert! The Terminator (1984) is a slasher film. You can disagree all you want but on this week's episode of Nightmare on Film Street, your horror hosts Kimmi & Jon (well, mostly just Jon. Kimmi might still be unconvinced) lay out their case and as to why James Cameron's monumental sci-fi/action stunner is totally a horror movie.

Here's a brief outline of the argument: The Terminator is a slasher villain because he is an unstoppable, expressionless killing machine, just like Michael Myers. He only walks but always catches up with his victims, just like Jason Voorhees (not to mention that bullets cannot stop him). And maybe the most damning evidence of all- he's trying to stop two young lovers from having premarital sex by killing everyone around them with ruthless brutality! Still not convinced??? Happy Halloween, Horror Fans! We're closing out the spooky season this year with Ryan Spindell's The Mortuary Collection (2020), one of our favourite modern horror anthologies and the movie that introduced the world to Jacob Elordi half a decade before he was tapped to play Frankenstein's Monster by Guillermo Del Toro.

The Mortuary Collection (2020) is pure Halloween fun from start to finish, featuring tentacle monsters, dead kids, dead wives, an exploding d****, a banging soundtrack, and one hell of performance from Clancy Brown as a morose mortician/macabre storyteller. It's a wild ride of wickedly weird stories and a perfect spooky send off for the best damn holiday of the year. Join ussssss
