The Sega Addicts Podcast

This is it, folks. The title says it all. Sega Addicts is closing its doors, and Brett, Stevie, and Scotty are here to discuss everything from beginning to end. The full details are in this episode and on the full post on the site itself. We cannot thank you all enough for everything that you have done from listening and reading, to chatting and viewing. We will keep our Discord chat alive, so join that by clicking here or also below if wanna continue to hang out with us and shoot the breeze. Our Twitter and Twitch pages will remain alive to retweet and auto-host active former Addicts, while the site will remain live for archival purposes along with the YouTube page to archive the 24-Hour Dreamless Dreamcast Marathon (which I, Scotty, will host until the day I die). Oh hey, here's that book we could not remember we somehow ended up on the back of. And the preview here. Thank you so much from the bottom of our goofy oily hearts for everything that you have done. We love you guys, and we are excited to see what the future holds. We asked and you answered, or maybe you asked and we answered? It's a big ol' mailbag episode! Brett, Nic, and Scotty start out by discussing their personal Game of the Year recommendations and then dive right in to that Scrooge McDuck vault of letters and postcards you sent on the interwebz. We go through everything from why Sega should hire us, which consoles we are still hunting for, how we would introduce anyone to Sega, and a whole lot more! This is the last podcast of the year, but keep an eye on our Twitter and Discord for a few more streams to close out 2017. It has really been an amazing year with our most successful 24-Hour Dreamless Dreamcast Marathon to so many great streams with all of you involved! Thanks for everything! Sonic Forces released. Did you know that? Yeah we sorta forgot for a second as well, but then we realized we should talk about it! Woo! Remember Sonic Mania? Crap, well try to forget it. Remember Sonic Generations? Well, try to forget that game too, because we need to talk about Sonic Forces! Nic, Brett, and Scotty also wanna tell you about some moments in games that made them think way more about that game than they may have in the past. Believe it or not, sometimes video games actually involve emotions. And you guys had some words on the topic as well! Speaking of words, and you, the next episode (and final one for 2017!) will be a special mailbag episode! That means you need to get those crazy, deep, ridiculous, hilarious, obnoxious, and any other questions into us through our Discord and Twitter before December 12th. We have a good bit collected, but still need plenty more! Wanna know our favorite Sonic character? Favorite food? Best college story? Dumbest thing we ever dreamed about? Our first video game crush? Well you better ask us! Otherwise how will you find out?! We interrupt our regularly scheduled podcast... schedule... to bring you a movie commentary! Fire up those VCRs and find your copy of the 1995 gem Mortal Kombat, because TJ, Nic, Brett, and Scotty are here to help you endure some "fine" cinema. That's right, you get to watch a movie with the Addicts! And boy howdy, are you in for a treat. The director of Mortal Kombat, Paul W. S. Anderson, has gone on to create such quality video game movie adaptations as the Resident Evil series, and DOA: Dead or Live. Other Anderson greats include Death Race 2, Death Race 3: Inferno, and Alien Vs. Predator. Help us. We will return to our regular ear candy with Podcast Episode 123, and don't forget to keep submitting your questions for our mail bag episode 125. For the moment though, "We got movie sign!" This week's episode the Addicts sorta talk about Sonic 3D Blast. Really though, this is your episode for fun facts about the Sega Nomad, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and PlayStation Demo Discs. Elle, Brett, and Scotty also discuss games that they could never sell or hold significant meaning. You can probably guess most of their answers. And that's why you guys rock! We have Episode 125 coming up, and want your Listener Questions! Episode 125 will be a Mailbag Special composed entirely of your questions. So get them in now!
