Simplify Whole Home Backup with the SPAN Panel MLO 24

Simplify Whole Home Backup with the SPAN Panel MLO 24
In November 2025, SPAN joined BayWa r.e. to present a webinar on their latest panels, MLO 24. The session was hosted by BayWa r.e. Strategic Partnerships Manager, Daniela Schwartzman, and Mike DiRico, the National Sales Director of Installers at SPAN. The presentation covered how SPAN’s expanded line of smart electrical panels can help you complete installations faster, close more deals, and deliver a whole-home backup experience for your customers.  Officially named, “Simplify Whole Home Backup with the SPAN Panel MLO 24,” you can watch the full webinar here or read the blog for some vital information that was shared in the session below.    Smart Energy Management by SPAN  SPAN manages home energy use and makes it easy to integrate new electrical equipment whenever possible. The SPAN panel is a smart replacement for your electrical panel that works as wither a complete main panel upgrade or as a sub-panel alongside your existing setup. The sub-panel option is a newer capability available with their latest panels. Meet the MLO 24  The MLO 24 brings SPAN’s smart technology to more homeowners than ever before. The 24-circuit main lug panel carries an MSRP of $2,500, which is the most affordable panel SPAN has ever offered to date. With the current $600 tax credit (expiring at the end of the year), the price drops below $2,000.  With a 225A busbar rating and the 120% rule, you can maximize solar array size without limitations. SPAN’s PowerUP software manages loads both on and off the grid, with automatic battery protection that prevents overloads.  What does this mean for your business? Fewer truck rolls. SPAN prevents the brownouts and blackouts that typically require service callbacks.  Installing the MLO 24 is fast and straightforward since these panels work as a sub-panel. Most installation jobs take about an hour. You can eliminate a major cost barrier while speeding up project timelines.  The Battery Life  Customers can get up to 40% longer battery life with systems like Tesla or FranklinWH batteries. Homeowners can choose which circuits stay on, and SPAN’s software will keep them running until the battery hits 50% capacity. It will automatically shut off in order to preserve the remaining charge.  Making Smart Energy Accessible with SPAN  SPAN is transforming how homeowners interact with their energy systems. From their PowerUP software to the MLO 24 panel, SPAN offers a complete ecosystem for modern homes. Whether you’re looking to maximize solar production, simplify installations, or deliver more value to your customers, SPAN provides tools to make it happen.  For more details on SPAN’s products and features, you can rewatch the entire webinar on our YouTube channel.  SHOP SPAN CONTACT BAYWA R.E.
