<p>Jesus came into the world on a mission, and how we understand that mission shapes how we respond to Him.If Jesus were merely a miracle worker, then following Him would simply mean becoming miracle workers ourselves. If He were only a great teacher, then our task would be to pass on His teachings to others. And if His mission were only to die, then we would simply rest in His death and resurrection and tell others about it.These are certainly part of what Jesus did but it is not what Jesus’ mission actually was about.
