This year we found ourselves pondering the word “catalyst”. A Catalyst is a person or thing that causes an event. Or in other words, someone or something that causes a big change. It is a word that has sat firmly at the centre of the Christmas story for over 2000 years. From the Old testament legalistic ways of sacrifice and worship to the simplistic world of salvation through God’s mercy and grace, and the catalyst of this change was a small baby into a manger laid.</description>
