Recently it was revealed that federal defense officials mistakenly added The Atlantic's editor-in-chief to a group chat on Signal in which they discussed military strikes in Yemen. The story reminded us of another conversation we've been having about how to responsibly leak information to the press, and if there is such a thing as a secure line.
