And then, once He has shown who He is, He goes to the cross so that you may know exactly who is dying for you: not a mere man, not a failed Messiah, but the Son of God in the flesh, your King who comes to save sinners. If you want to know the real Jesus, you must look to His cross, His Word, and His resurrection.
