<p>Life throws so many curve balls at you. Life will throw anyone and everyone a curveball. In 2008, life, or in this case a consulting firm I worked for through me a ridiculous curveball. I was unexpectedly laid off out of nowhere. Aside from being laid off; I can honestly say this was one of the darkest times in my life.</p>
<p>I explain much of this in this episode and I also share helpful pieces that make sure you can make it through your dark time or layoff. In this episode I am speaking specifically about me being laid off, but let the word layoff be a metaphor for anything and everything.</p>
<p>Whatever might be hurting you, stressing you, defeating you or making you feel small is your layoff. It doesn't just have to be your job, it can be anything.</p>
<p>Even still, we have to get better about turning our layoff into our payoff. It won't always be easy, but I promise it will be worth it!</p>
