Comedian Eric D'Alessandro on his Staten Island roots, Viral Success
We got a special edition of the podcast for you today! Intern Anthony is on vacation, lounging in the Florida sun, but Joe Causi had the chance to chat with an up and coming superstar, comedian Eric D'Alessandro of Staten Island! They literally ran into each other at a local Shop Rite last week, and here they are chatting on the podcast days later! Eric talked to Joe about growing up on the island and how he developed his comedy. "I didn't grow up as a typical Staten Islander" he says, "i lived in the Westerleigh section of the Island which was more diverse, my mom, dad and sister didn't act like everyone else." When it comes to his comedy, Eric says it's all organic. "My friends growing up were funnier than me" he says. "I took my daily observations and turned them into something relatable and funny!"
