Drunk Women Solving Crime

As we continue our procession through this year's Men's Month, Taylor and Hannah were delighted to welcome the fabulous actor, and online sensation, Jonny Weldon to the force - and were equally delighted with his medley of crime stories, which serve as an endorsement to his incredible work ethic. 

Not only did Jonny provide theatrics with his own tales, but he also managed to cast himself in today's case, so anyone thinking of making a film of the story, please consider this his audition. 

Plus, we hear from a listener, who would have taken a millennium if they had to build the Great Wall of China. 

What better way to launch this year's Men's Month than to release an episode recorded at our London Residency earlier this year, with none-other than the legendary Charlie Higson? 

The actor, writer and Fast Show alumni, started off proceedings by telling us about the time he was targeted by a gang, who were compulsive in their criminal activities, before helping Taylor and Hannah 'solve' a case in which a doctor more than ignored the Hippocratic oath and gives us an insight on what the bedside manner of Michael McIntyre would be like. 

Finally, a member of the audience allows us to debate on all the reasons why her house is so 'burglarable' ... answers on a postcard please!

This week we're joined by actor, comedian and playwright, Anna Morris, whose crime story enables her to display her inner Victorian lady, something that will leave any aspiring criminal quaking in their boots.

The team then get involved in a story, which may be 500 years old, but illustrates just how little the monarchy has changed and that most of the current bunch would have been dispatched to The Tower without a second thought, but at least Anna can star in the film version!

And to finish things off, a listener lets the cat out of the bag with a tear jerking tale from their childhood... 

In today's episode, Taylor and Hannah welcome comedian, writer, presenter and Touretteshero, Jess Thom to the force! Jess started things off by talking about the surreal world living with Tourette’s creates and tells us about a recurring crime that results in tedious life admin - surely the biggest crime of all! 

We then delve into a case that could sit comfortably in the Home Alone film franchises, and definitely doesn't involve Alan Hanson, or the death of Legoland, but does include a glowing leg. 

Plus, this week's listener crime sparks a conversation about the prevalence of goat sex online...

This week, Taylor and Hannah are given the opportunity to fangirl at guest detective Anna Richardson, who as well as possessing enviable skills in crime solving, also fronts a show which the entire DWSC team holds in high esteem.

But not only do we get to celebrate Anna's amazing career, she also shares a mind-blowing crime story, which would be deemed too far fetched if any writer tried to put it in a book or film, but unfortunately is an actual true crime, with consequences reaching far and wide. 

As for the main story today, although the protagonist certainly bears the brunt of this WW2 tale, they do so with the style and panache of the most sophisticated waistcoat wearer.
