Erin Backhaus and Allison Vermiglio have discovered a common trope in the films we love that is tacitly affirming male hegemony. As a part of the Deans' Undergraduate Research Fellowship, this summer they will be preparing a video essay to call attention to this trope and encourage viewers to more critically consume.
