TRACY ALEXANDER is a multi-skilled award-winning journalist with an academic background in cognitive psychology and journalism.
Tracy's diverse career has seen her work across multiple within the media landscape; television and radio news reporting, video journalism, documentary production and print journalism.
Before anchoring a prime-time daily news and current affairs program, Perspectives, at i24NEWS, Tracy worked as South Australia's state correspondent for the Nine Network's national breakfast show, The Today Show, as well reporting for Channel Nine's 6pm evening news bulletin.
Pursuing her passion for documentaries, Tracy began her career working on several documentary projects by the former CEO of FILM AUSTRALIA and the former Head of Factual Programming at the ABC. Joining the production company as its youngest member, Tracy worked alongside some of the industry's elite, including a Logie Award winning director on the feature documentary, Rewriting History, which aired on SBS in 2012.Serving as a springboard for a career in the broadcast sphere, Tracy then worked as a radio newsreader at Southern Cross Austereo, before taking on video journalism for Southern Cross Ten.
Tracy's commitment to living a balanced and conscious life while working in the fast-paced and emotionally demanding news industry, prompted her to expand her focus; teaching mindfulness and the art of positive self-talk. Tracy now leads meditation courses for the modern mind, helping people to foster self-love and compassion as well as find peace in their everyday lives.
