<p>Award-winning Horror Author &amp; Poet, <strong>Linda D. Addison</strong>, joins us in National Poetry Month to discuss misconceptions of Horror, responsibility in writing, and the other side of being 'first'. &nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Linda D. Addison</strong>&nbsp;is&nbsp;an award-winning author of four (4) collections, including <em>How To Recognize A Demon Has Become Your Friend</em>, and the first African-American recipient of the <a href="http://www.horror.org/">HWA (Horror Writer's Association) Bram Stoker Award</a>®. And in 2018, the recipient of the HWA Lifetime Achievement Award. She has published over 300 poems, stories and articles and is a member of CITH, HWA, SFWA and SFPA. Addison co-edited <em>Sycorax’s Daughters</em>, an anthology of horror fiction &amp; poetry by African-American women (publisher Cedar Grove Publishing) with Kinitra Brooks and Susana Morris, which was a HWA Bram Stoker finalist in the Anthology category.</p>
<p>She has published in many anthologies and magazine like: Essence Magazine, Asimov’s SF Magazine, and Apex Magazine, and is a founding member of the writer’s group Circles in the Hair (CITH) and a member of SFWA, HWA and SFPA. &nbsp;&nbsp;Linda is also the Poetry Editor for <a href="https://www.spaceandtimemagazine.net/"><em>Space &amp; Time Magazine</em></a>, and excited about April’s Double Issue containing 15 poems and a write-up by Angela Yuriko Smith, its new publisher/editor, dedicated to National Poetry Month.&nbsp;</p>
