Jeremy is joined by Helen and Dave Edward, co-founders of the Artificiality Institute, a nonprofit research organization exploring what it takes to stay human in a world shaped by AI. For more than a decade, they’ve studied how AI changes the way people think, decide, and relate to each other. Their work focuses on a central question: when intelligence becomes something we share, how do we remain the authors of our own minds? They host the Artificiality Summit in Bend, Oregon, and serve as Visiting Researchers at UC Berkeley’s Center for Human-Compatible AI. Helen previously led major technology systems in critical infrastructure, and Dave spent years building creative tools at Apple and investing in emerging technologies. Together, they explore how to live, work, and remain fully human alongside artificial intelligence.

Jeremy is joined by his graduate school colleague Nancy Zamierowski to discuss Systems & Complexity theory and how to operationalize it in the workplace, at home, and within yourself. Nancy is a PhD graduate student at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where she is working on her dissertation on Systems Sensing. Nancy is a practitioner–researcher working at the intersection of strategy, leadership, and systems change. Her consulting practice focuses on how decisions and innovations take shape in complex systems — particularly in moments of uncertainty, transition, or when the status quo runs dry. Nancy supports leaders, teams, and multi-stakeholder initiatives through inquiry-based processes that strengthen clarity, commitment, and shared authorship.
