This week, I wanted to share the Substack I wrote in 2023 about how my feminism and my desire to live a slow, simple life might be at odds with each other. When I reread this piece the other day, I realised how apt it was for the phase I (still) find myself in right now and I wanted to share it on the podcast as it resonated so much still and wanted to open up the space to muse on it further with you.

I find it so interesting (and perhaps a little scary) to observe how the online spaces about slower living and homesteading are becoming dangerously close to right-wing, tradwife content - which is a space I absolutely do not want to be in. It begs the question how my feminism rhymes with desiring a simple life and leaving hustle culture. In this episode (and in the Substack blog), I delve into this deeper. Mind you: I don't have the answers (I wish!) but I think posing the questions and allowing ourselves to reflect on these matters, is somewhat of an answer in itself :).

I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'm also looking forward to getting my Substack going at some point soon again. Watch this space :).

Read along with the Substack piece here.

I'd love to hear from you, so please come find me online!

Connect with me on Instagram: @thespiritualfem, my personal page @lenethwitte & the adVANtures in Sweden @tinytimestwo
Or send me an email: hello@thespiritualfeminist.com.
Sign up to the Sweden retreat waitlist here.
Oh, and Spotify has a reply option per episode now too (on mobile)!

Thank you, for journeying with me sister.
