In this message we look at one of the most beautiful portraits of Jesus' compassion in the Gospels. In Matthew 8:1–17, the Messiah reaches down to restore the rejected members of society: a leper no one would touch, a Gentile Roman centurion everyone despised, and a woman often overlooked in that culture. Jesus breaks every social barrier, every cultural taboo, and every religious expectation to show that the King's heart is for the lowest and the forgotten.
