Vince strongly disagrees with this and lists almost 20 witnesses who say Kennedy never said this. Vince also shows that the motorcycle escort for Kennedy was cut back from 4 to 2 on each side, Also, the cyclists were instructed to stay to the rear of the presidential limousine. The motorcade route was not decided upon until the night before, and it was different from the one planned. The Dallas Police did not know the route until they were on it that day.
