Hey, Folks! Don't worry, we're only a few short weeks away from the premier of our new horror anthology series, but while we're waiting for Jeremy to put all the final touches on that, we're thrilled to be able to share with you another another great Fiction Podcast we think you'll love.  DERELICT, an immersive independently produced Sci-fi Podcast by Night Rocket Productions. DERELICT begins with its first season, FATHOM, in which an ancient artifact resembling a giant door has been found at the bottom of Earth's ocean. A gigantic enigma, buried and forgotten...nineteen thousand feet down. Just the kind of thing that would interest the galaxy's most powerful corporation, Maas-Dorian. To study the artifact, the company built a massive, self-contained, secret laboratory base surrounding it. That base is named Fathom. It's objective: unlock the secrets of the artifact and discover what it holds. A group of scientists, engineers, and workers led by Dr. Eva Graff and Commander Joe Freeman have been working on that task for almost a year, but with little to show for it. The Vault has yet to give up its secrets, and their employers are beginning to lose patience. Add to that, some on the base say they hear...voices. Inside the signal the Vault is broadcasting. Hundreds of them. Thousands. Whispering and chittering of a desire to be let out. But none of it holds sway over a corporation interested only in power and profit, even if it knows all too well that some mysteries should remain buried. And that some doors should never be opened. Ask Your Father || Feed Drop
We’re back with another fiction podcast we’d like to share with you! Don’t worry we’re hard at work making new episodes of The Subjective Truth and our new upcoming Horror Anthology Someone Just Like You. They’ll be more news on all that coming later in 2024. And potentially more episodes of Two Flat Earthers on the horizon.  But today we’re excited to bring you the pilot episode of “Ask Your Father.” It’s a new series by written by Sean Williams, the writer behind the indie darling “Almelem” and the main character in “Give Me Away”. SERIES DESCRIPTION: Ask Your Father asks the question: What does it mean to be a family? What does it mean to be a person in that family, even if you aren’t a human? Lem, a human, and Mikey, an A.I., are piloting the first ever faster than light speed ship when they find themselves twice as far as they meant to go, and without any fuel for a return flight. The two of them communicate with Earth using tiny faster-than-light-speed drives, which carry information for Mikey and questions for Lem from his kids. As they work together to solve the problem, they forge a friendship that could change the course of human history, all while trying to answer the question “how did this happen?” And more importantly... “Why?” The show explores concepts of human rights, the ownership of our labor, the limits we put on morality and the fight for personhood - all in the form of a sci-fi thriller.  IN THIS EPISODE: Lem and Mikey begin the first Faster Than Light Speed trip in the wrong place and without enough fuel to get back. Lem's husband and sister aren't getting any answers from NASA - mostly because they have no answers themselves. Everyone begins to settle in this new strange routine, which includes tiny hard-drives filled with information and audio letters from home. CAST: Sean Williams. Kevin R. Free. Rob Maitner. Rebecca Comtois. Barnaby Williams. Marlena Williams. CREW: Directed by Jordana Williams. Sound Design by Jeffrey Nils Gardner. Music by Kent Williams.
