Elijah Arroyo hit Ward on an 8-yard touchdown pass with 4:32 left in the game. Martinez scored again with 1:51 left, running it in from 12 yards out. The Hurricanes held them under 20 points for the seventh time in their eight games this season. Miami WR Xavier Restrepo Xavier Restrepo passed Michael Irvin and Reggie Wayne in Miami’s record book same play, a 13-yard catch in the third quarter. Restrepo’s 174 catches (passing Wayne for No. 2 on Miami's career list) and 2,427 yards (passing Irvin for No. 3 on Miami's career list) have him in position to be the school’s all-time leader in both by the time he’s done here at the end of this season.
