Details

Dreams and Detours is a show about the life we thought we were going to have vs the one we are living. We all have a story. I share mine and I speak to others about following their dreams, or getting derailed entirely. And then getting back up again. Life is hard and messy and joyful. The choices we make in our 20's and 30's are not always the ones we want to stick with in our 40's or 50's. Inevitably we come to crossroads, more often than not. If we let fear hold us back, the result can be tremendous dissatisfaction. But if we take the leap toward our dreams, well then, the adventure really begins.

Free To Be with Mike Overlie
Susan welcomes Mike Overlie back to the show to talk about men’s mental health. While June may have been declared the month to focus on the importance of this, we both felt it should be a conversation that happens regularly. Mike knows systems don’t work unless all parts are in alignment. He also knows that most men haven’t been given the emotional skills to handle the messiness that life throws at them. In his book, Let Your Dog Lead, Mike shares his own emotional awakening and how that was a massive life changer. He also shared one of his favorite poems, by Dale Wimbrow, Guy In the GlassCheck out our conversation and his linktree site for great nuggets of wisdom!Mike Overliehttps://linktr.ee/SpiritDoghttps://www.facebook.com/michael.overlie.52https://www.linkedin.com/in/michael-overlie-529057208/https://outskirtspress.com/letyourdoglead https://www.amazon.com/Let-Your-Dog-Lead-Exceptional/dp/1977220185 Dreams and Detours: https://www.dreamsdetours.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/dreamsdetours/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/dreams-and-detours/ Thanks for listening! It means so much to us that you listened to our podcast!
