Worship is fundamentally about ascribing worth to God, not just singing songs or attending church. God created humans with an innate desire to worship, and when we direct this worship toward Him rather than ourselves or other things, our lives function as designed. The downward spiral described in Romans 1 shows what happens when people turn from worshiping God to worshiping created things instead. We should worship Jesus because He created us to worship, commanded us to love Him with all our being, uses our worship for His purposes, takes pleasure in our reverence, and allows us to proclaim Him to others through authentic worship. This week, identify one area of your life where you may be ascribing more worth to something or someone than to God. Make a conscious effort to realign your priorities by spending extra time in prayer and Bible reading, and look for at least one opportunity to boldly share your faith or give thanks to God in a public setting.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNBl6bpI_3c
