In this episode, I'm tackling one of the biggest stumbling blocks every podcaster faces, whether you're just starting out or have been in the game for years: the belief that all the choices you make for your podcast are set in stone.
I want to challenge that mindset because the reality is, your podcast is ever-evolving.
It’s supposed to change, grow, and adapt over time—and that’s not only normal, but it’s essential for your podcast’s success.
Using my own journey as an example—my very first episode from 2016 versus my most recent one from this week in 2024—you’ll hear firsthand why it would actually be a *bad* thing if everything about your podcast stayed the same.
Evolving Helps You Build a Stronger Connection with Your Audience too. As your audience grows and diversifies, so should your podcast. Evolving allows you to stay relevant, keep up with trends, and meet the changing needs of your listeners.
Authenticity shines when you allow yourself to adapt naturally, rather than forcing yourself into an outdated mold.
Learning from Your Past (Episode 1 vs. Episode Now):
Take a trip down memory lane—my very first episode recorded back in 2016 compared to the newest one released this week in 2024.
You’ll notice major changes: a stronger intro, different music, a more confident voice, a relaxed conversation without scripted questions - These changes, this growth happened because I embraced the learning curve. I allowed myself to evolve rather and changing things up (topic focus, music, guests) than fearing that any alteration would betray my original vision.
When you feel comfortable making changes, you’re more likely to take creative risks that could pay off in big ways.
Whether it's switching up your format, trying new segment ideas, or inviting different types of guests, change fosters innovation and keeps your podcast fresh.
So let's just embrace the simple truth and fact, that as we go along, our podcasts will change, just as much as we will.
And that we can still make changes down the road. Nothing is ever set in stone.

Have you ever felt that sinking feeling when you share your podcasting dream with your partner, family, or close friends, only to be met with skepticism or indifference? It’s especially tough when the people we expect to be our biggest cheerleaders don’t quite get it or, worse, offer critical feedback that leaves us questioning ourselves.
In the latest episode of 'Podcasting with Impact', I tackle this topic head-on—because it’s something so many of us have experienced yet rarely talk about.
When we start a podcast, we’re filled with passion and excitement, driven by a vision to share something meaningful with the world. Especially in the beginning, we often look to our loved ones for validation, support, and maybe even content ideas. But what happens when that support doesn’t come? Or when their feedback feels more critical than constructive?
Here’s what we’ll dive into in this episode:
This episode is perfect for anyone who’s ever faced doubt from their loved ones about their podcast - or any creative endeavor, really. Whether you’re just starting or have been podcasting for a while, you’ll gain practical insights and mindset shifts to help you stay resilient in the face of criticism.
You’ll also hear two incredible insights from members of my LinkedIn community, Elayna Snyder and Nate Davis, whose comments on this topic truly resonated with me.
Their perspectives are not only thoughtful but also actionable, and I’m excited to share their full insights with you in the episode.
By tuning into this episode, you’ll gain:
If you’ve been feeling the sting of criticism lately, this episode will remind you that you’re not alone—and that you have the power to keep pushing forward.
Special Thanks
I want to give a special shout-out to Elayna Snyder https://www.linkedin.com/in/elayna-snyder/ and Nate Davis https://www.linkedin.com/in/iamnatedavis/, who both shared invaluable insights that I’ll highlight in the episode. If you’re not already connected with them, I highly recommend doing so. Their thought leadership on storytelling and empathy is truly something special.

One of my favorite Austria-based podcasters recently took a break, and guess what happened: it only heightened my anticipation for the next episode.
I found myself checking the feed regularly, never forgetting about the show. This experience reaffirmed my belief that if you keep your listeners in the loop and communicate what's happening, they won't drop off. Your loyal fans will be eagerly waiting for your return.
So, this is my invitation to you: especially now, when summer is here and (if you are a busy parent like me) school routines are on hold, don't stress about not having a new episode every week.
Here's why taking breaks can be beneficial for your podcast:
The Benefits of Taking Scheduled Breaks
Communicate with Your Audience
Transparency is key. Let your listeners know about your break plans and what they can expect. Share updates through your podcast, social media, and newsletter. Keeping them informed builds trust and keeps your audience loyal.
To lead by example, PODCASTING WITH IMPACT will take a well-deserved summer break. There won't be any new episodes airing for July and August. I invite you to enjoy browsing through our back catalogue and to explore episodes you may have missed. I will be back with lots of beautiful, inspiring and super helpful new episodes for you in August.
Listen to my short signing-off message, featuring the beautiful voices of my three kids, and let's look forward to an exciting return after a refreshing summer break.
Enjoy your summer!
Regina

In this episode, I want to share a transformative moment from my coaching journey that has shaped my perspective and approach to my business and life in the most impactful way.
One of the biggest breakthroughs I experienced with my own coach came when she shared a simple yet profound truth: "You are exactly where you are supposed to be."
This statement has become a cornerstone of my personal and professional development, and I believe it holds immense value for us Podcasters as well.
The Power of the Present Moment
In our fast-paced world, it's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, constantly striving for the next goal, the next achievement, or the next milestone.
Don't get me wrong, ambition and vision are crucial but they can sometimes overshadow the importance of the present moment.
My coach's words were a powerful reminder to embrace the here and now, to stop fighting the moment and to be fully present with where I am right in this moment - in business as well as in life.
Why It’s Important Not to Fight the Moment
Growth and Learning: Every experience offers an opportunity for growth and learning. By resisting or wishing away our current circumstances, we miss out on valuable lessons that are crucial for our personal and professional development.
Mindfulness and Peace: Accepting where we are brings a sense of ease. It allows us to fully engage with our surroundings, nurturing a deeper connection with ourselves and others. This presence can enhance our relationships, our creativity, our overall well-being, and yes, OF COURESE our podcasts.
Clarity and Focus: When we stop fighting the moment, we gain clarity. This clarity helps us to better understand our desires, our strengths, and our areas for improvement. It enables us to set more meaningful and attainable goals, aligning our actions with our aspirations.
Being certain that where you are on your podcasting journey in this very moment is such a relief (isn't it?)
It's essential to acknowledge and celebrate the progress we've made and the position we currently hold.
Where you are right now is a result of your hard work, resilience, and dedication. And I am celebrating you for it all. Every tiny step you already made on your Podcasting journey.
Reflecting on my journey with being ok with where I am in my own podcasting journey, I realize that each moment, each fail, and each win has contributed to who I am today.
My coach's wisdom has taught me to honour my own path and to trust that I am exactly where I need to be.
This mindset has not only brought me so much ease but has also empowered me to pursue my vision with greater confidence and clarity.
As you navigate your own journey, I encourage you to remember that you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Embrace the present, learn from it, and let it guide you towards your vision. Celebrate your progress and trust in your path.
By doing so, you'll find a balance that brings both fulfillment and forward momentum.
Thank you for being a part of this community and for allowing me to share this with you today.
I look forward to continuing this journey together.
