Welcome to our series on the Centers in Human Design. These mini episodes will be focused on discussing the affect an open center might have on our life experiences. This episode is about the Throat Center, led by Stefanie, our Generator. The Throat center governs speech, actions, any means of communication. Those with open centers tend to blurt out things, may be accidental interrupters, or over-communicators. This is not coming from a space of ego, but more from a pressure to be heard. One of the benefits to having this open Throat center is that, without even realizing we're doing it, we're able to adjust our tone and delivery to match the needs of our audience. To work with our open throat, we deserve to practice patience and focus on communicating according to our strategy (ie: Generators strategy is to respond). Also, it's so valuable for those with this center open to trust and lean into the silence and trust that others don't need to hear you, but they will read your aura and see you for who you are.
Some great questions to ask yourself if you notice the pressure to move:
- Is this conversation important for me to engage in?
- Am I feeling pressure to be heard in this moment?
- Am I rehearsing a conversation in my head? If so, is the conversation necessary to be had with others or is it my pressure to be heard?
- What's my strategy and authority?

We'll kick off the series exploring the Root Center led by Kristina, our Manifestor. The Root center is a pressure center and motor center. When your center is defined (colored in), you will always have a list of things to get done, whether that list is written or in your head. If your Root center is open, you may feel the pressure to get things done. This can show up in driving, eating, and work. Since it's a pressure center, when it's open it will amplify the energies of those around you. Learn to pace yourself and always check in with your strategy and authority of your design.

- Is this pressure mine?
- Is this a problem I need to solve?
- What's my strategy and authority

We are super excited to be sharing this mini series with you! We'll start with a general discussion around the 9 centers in Human Design and then we'll move into mini episodes talking about the pressures you may be feeling if you have a specific center defined. We believe that understanding your open centers can be super valuable because they show you areas where you may be activated by others. It is giving you awareness of potential areas where you could be picking up other people's beliefs and thoughts. This awareness allows you to check in with yourself and see if what you are feeling is yours or someone else's.
Again, we talk about the importance of trusting your authority and strategy first and foremost. Understanding your centers can be the next step for your deeper understanding of your design. It is our vision of this podcast to bring awareness and understanding about ourselves and create more authentic, synchronistic relationships in your life and open up communication with others.

Today's episode is a great conversation with the trio of Kristina (Manifestor), Celeste (Reflector), and Janice (Projector) about the importance of staying in alignment with yourself and your Human Design Type, Strategy, and Authority. Listen to this authentic conversation about why alignment within is so important and how much conditioning we have all experienced by attempting to align with outside sources. Society teaches us all about what we're supposed to alignment. True purpose is to find alignment to what's right for you.
Other points of discussion were Not Self themes, burn out and potential health issues that may manifest in your bodies from being out of alignment. We encourage you to shift your focus to aligning to yourself and witnessing the magic in your life. Life is truly magical!
