The Parliamentary public affairs committee announced that it will <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/royal-family/2025/12/02/andrew-mountbatten-windsor-royal-lodge-king-charles/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">hold an inquiry</a> into the properties and land owned by the monarchy, following the responses it received to questions about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/money/property/second-homes/prince-andrew-peppercorn-rent-free-deal/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">peppercorn rent</a> at Royal Lodge. As if that wasn’t enough, David Dimbleby has them in his sights in a new <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/whats-the-monarchy-for-bbc-one-review/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">three-part BBC documentary</a> titled “What’s the Monarchy For?” </p><br><p>Camilla Tominey and Tim Stanley are joined in the studio by former Liberal Democrat MP Norman Baker, whose new book&nbsp;‘Royal Mint, National Debt’ rails against the huge increase in support to the Royals from the public purse, despite their vast private wealth and income streams, and without the transparency to go with it.</p><br><p>Camilla and Tim also review Meghan Markle’s <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/tv/0/love-meghan-holiday-celebration-netflix-review/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">new Christmas show</a>.
