The world’s two biggest economies - the USA and China - are now going head to head on tariffs, with <a href="https://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2025/04/08/trump-tariffs-china-trade-war-ftse-100-markets-latest-news/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Donald Trump threatening Xi Jinping with an extra 50% tariff</a> if China doesn’t withdraw its own 34% counter-tariff, which itself was a reciprocal response to Trump’s original tariff set out last week.</p><br><p>Amid fears of a global recession, Camilla and Kamal are joined in the studio by former Tory leader and eminent China-hawk Iain Duncan Smith, who says the President is right to take on Beijing with the world having turned a blind eye for too long.
