Season 7 is almost a wrap. But before we close out the season, we want to end it on a high note post BRBF with one last author interview. We are excited to welcome, @authornicoledevonne to the podcast. We talk all things romance, her books, and why centering plus sized Black women is important. About Nicole: Nicole lives on the West Coast of Florida. She considers herself to be a feral housewife who ensures the three younglings are alive and thriving. You can find her bundled under a blanket with her kindle, reading a spicy romance, or writing her own swoon worthy characters. She writes for the romance lovers who enjoy found family, relatability, kicking their feet and giggling. When she’s not lost creating a new story, she’s trying new receipes with her husband, whom she loves and is borderline obsessed with, playing mermaids with her littles or sneaking away for thrifting and iced coffees with her teen. She is a self-proclaimed beverage goblin who is easily snackfluenced. Nicole will admit that chicken tenders, caesar salad, and fries are her grumpy moods worst enemy. We know, we know... we've been gone for a minute but trust me we had legit excuses. Life has been life-ing. But we are excited to give you a pre- BRBF podcast with @author_karmenscott . A talented author of romance, we discuss her growing catalog and how she creates dynamic, compelling characters. About Karmen: Karmen Scott, a wife and mother of two, is a native of Augusta, Georgia. She received her high school diploma from Lucy Craft Laney High School in 2014 and her bachelor’s degree in marketing from Brenau University in 2020. However, Karmen’s first love is writing, which she has pursued since she learned to create stories. Karmen attended Georgia Gwinnett College from 2014 to 2017, where she wrote her very first novel, Inexperienced, during her freshman year. She is now the published author of ten books, including one complete series and one that is currently ongoing. When she’s not writing and creating universes, she’s working on art or spending time with her family as “Bae” and “Mommy”. Although she wears many hats, writing will always be her passion. She is also the founder of Child of Purpose, LLC, and has a blog where she writes inspirational pieces to encourage her followers. Karmen hopes to continue her journey as a writer and published author in the years to come. Sports and romance go hand in hand! In this episode, Terry and Tati talk to author Brittany Arreguin about her love of sports and how that translates to her series of sports romance. Also... is there a sport she is dying to write about? (hint: it's badminton! LOL) About Brittany: Brittany Arreguin (she/her) is an Asian-American romance author born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. She loves to write sport romances featuring characters who share her cultural identity. She has written books featuring hockey, esports, and baseball, and is always fascinated about what sport to write next. She works full time in experiential marketing and lives with her husband and two cats. Her upcoming novel, The Albatross, is a golf romance expected to release in June of this year.
