We need JOY! And what better joy than to get into a romance. This week we have an interview with Teralyn Mitchell, romance and fantasy author and creator of the Rosa Oaks Series. We talk about her series, standalones, and what makes her drawn to the romance genre.

About Teralyn: Teralyn Mitchell is a contemporary & fantasy romance author who loves creating unique, multi-dimensional characters who face everyday issues that her readers can relate to. She writes the kind of books she likes to read whether they are about twenty-somethings living in the city or princesses and princes trying to find their way in the world. She moved back to her hometown in the south a few years ago and is currently living in a packed house, full of love, laughter, and chaos. When she’s not writing, you can find her reading, watching sports or reruns of her favorite sitcoms.

This episode, we interview author EK Woodland, a Vegas based romance author delivering sweet and "sinless" romance based in Sin City.

About EK: 2023 Romance Includes You Finalist, E.K. Woodland is an author of closed-door and clean

romance novellas. Her hometown of Las Vegas serves as the inspiration for the settings of most

of her stories. In her books, women from all layers of society find love in Sin City with distinct

male heroes in often sinless and unexpected ways.

Her works span across popular fiction and romance subgenres, including suspense,

contemporary, and romantic comedy. Her third romance book, A Click Away from Love, is set to

release in February 2025. She is currently writing her fourth book, Welcome Back to Love. She

dedicates herself to bringing happy endings to readers in the most whimsical way through

storytelling.

What do you get when you mix sports romance with a writer who knows nothing about sports? Well, you get gold! We talk to author Meka James about her latest for Afterglow books, Love and Sportsball. Going from Indie to Traditional publishing, we discuss Meka's journey as an author and her creative process.

This episode, we talk to debut poet turned romance author Ayoka B, a DC girl living in Costa Rica. We talk about her process, the inspiration for her debut, and what romance means to her.

Ayoka's debut novel, Love At Second Sight, is a love story which follows the journey of FMC Shane, a Single Mom and poet. Written in descriptive prose, this page-turner features unforgettable characters and is infused with lyrics and poetry. Works in progress include a spin-off of her debut novel; a collection of humorous vignettes about perimenopause, The Calor Chronicles; two poetry collections; and a YA novel entitled, Bluff. She is also co-host of a new podcast, Writing While Black and continues freelance writing projects. 

A DC native, she lives in Costa Rica with her family. Her goal as an author is for readers to connect with her words and find joy.
