In this week's episode, I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with author and illustrator Heidi Woodward Sheffield. She is the author/illustrator of Brick by Brick for which she won the 2021 Ezra Jack Keats Illustrator Award. Brick by Brick is a book that celebrates the warm bond between a little boy and his dad as they work hard to achieve their dreams.
This week I had the pleasure of talking with author Angela Burke Kunkel who is the author of Digging for Words. This book is based on the life of José Alberto Gutiérrez, a garbage collector in Bogotá, Colombia who started a library with a single discarded book found on his route.
