Austin, Texas in the late-1800s was starting to become a bustling hub for business. And with the rush of people coming in, unsavory characters also came in with them. The mysterious figure dubbed “The Servant Girl Annihilator,” by the American writer O. Henry, someone would stalk the streets at night, invade the rooms of servants, and brutally attack and kill his victims. This is part one of Criminal Intent’s recount of the historical case of “The Servant Girl Murders.”

Hello! Here is the teaser for the upcoming episode of Criminal Intent. We will be discussing the Servant Girl Murders of Austin, Texas during the year of 1885.
Several brutal murders occurred. The murderer attacked mainly African American servant women during the night and early morning hours. Then, as suddenly as the killings began, they stopped. The killings remain unsolved, but some experts believe they may know who was the most likely culprit.
The next episode comes out Thursday, December 2. See you then!
In part two of The Freeway Phantom Murders, De Andra takes a look at a potential seventh death in the Freeway Phantom killings. She also looks into the investigations that happened after the initial investigation concluded, where the case stands now, and why it remains unsolved 50 years later.
