Today, as we close out Romans, we’re leaning into a powerful truth: God calls us to live from the overflow of His love. The Christian life was never meant to be routine; it’s a daily invitation to stay connected to Jesus and step into the assignment He’s placed right in front of us. This is the extraordinary life of the ordinary Christian.

What if the people of God became a people where we genuinely cared for one another, where people think of others first, and where hope naturally overflows? That is exactly the vision Paul gives in this passage.

How do we hold on to personal convictions while still living in unity with others who see things differently? God calls us to do life together in unity. The unity we share ought to be grounded in our faith in Jesus Christ and how we can advance the good news to others, even though we may disagree on some non-essential issues.

What’s the main thing in Christianity - and how do we keep the main thing the main thing? The Apostle Paul reminds us that genuine love is at the heart of our faith. Love and integrity toward others are what attract people to the good news. The clock is ticking until Christ’s return, so we must seize the moment because our salvation (Christ’s return) is closer now than ever.

Have you ever wondered why God cares about the governments and leaders in our lives? God’s word gives us a clear answer in Romans 13:1–7: All authority comes from God. That means every leader, every law, every system exists because God allows it for the order and safety of society. We obey the laws of the land, unless those laws are contrary to God’s word.
