Jeremiah Estrada walked three straight hitters in the 8th inning and all three came around to score. The Tigers capitalized with timely hitting, scoring four runs in the inning to take control. Wandy Peralta couldn’t stop the damage, and the Padres bullpen collapse proved to be the difference. San Diego finished with 8 hits but only 2 runs, striking out 12 times and going 3-for-10 with runners in scoring position.
