In 1971, <strong>Clint Eastwood </strong>made his directorial debut with this early entry into the erotic thriller genre. While Alfred Hitchcock had hinted at the genre with films like <strong>Psycho</strong> and <strong>Marnie, </strong>and Noir films had gifted us the <strong>Femme Fatale</strong> archetype, <em>Play Misty For Me </em>is unique in that it feels more like later, more modern erotic thrillers of the late 80s and early 90s.
