"What is critical and pretty different about conversion copywriters, is that we will interview your audience. Through sending out surveys or interviewing them directly, we'll do 5ish interviews with people who bought your product or really importantly people who didn't buy your product. So we can understand why they're buying your product, what attracted them to your product, what need your product is filling and in the case of people who didn't buy, what objections stopped them from buying. "The way I like to look at reels, is it's a way to show your audience something that they haven't seen before. So before reels came out, I felt like I was coasting through Instagram. I was posting photos, posting stories but it felt very static. It didn't feel like I was connecting with my audience, it was just here's a post, engage with it. Whereas with reels, there's motion to it, there's emotion to it. You're giving them your personality, you're giving them insight into who you are and what you do." 'One of the things I've loved the most about working with small businesses, is you can see that your ideas, your strategies, the campaigns that you're putting together and bringing to life - make an impact, almost instantly, with these businesses. Whereas with the bigger agency side, it was really hard, I definitely felt like a number. It was a great experience but I didn't really feel like I was making an impact.' 'The reality is that if you're starting off as a business coach, you don't need a full bells and whistles website. You need somewhere you can make appointments, somewhere you can get in touch, something that has everything you need. But if you go too big you can over capitalise at an early stage of your business. When really it would be sufficient to get those automations happening, get those emails coming through.' In today's episode Kaity is joined by Fiona Smallwood, the Digital Wingwoman! Fiona lives in Western Australia with her husband, daughter and Harry the dog near the beach in Freo. If she was only allowed to have one food forever it would be peanut butter. Fiona has Crohn's disease and spent about 20 years feeling unwell and being a prisoner to it. She's had more surgery than she'd care to remember. Thankfully she's been well for about 10 years now. Crohn's disease robbed Fiona of her fertility but gave her, her life's greatest gift, one daughter. She's a chatter and loves deep and meaningful conversations and bloody LOVES her job....and it is only the beginning. Let's jump in!
