60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: NewsAudioLetter Announcement! What Is the Most Consequential Story You Can Tell?

NOV 29, 20233 MIN

Description

Hello to you listening in Kelowna, BC, Canada!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories from Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga inviting you to subscribe to my Quarter Moon Story Arts Monthly NewsAudioLetter where you will join a growing movement of people who are shaping storytelling to shift attitudes, behaviors, even cultures.

Previously, in the October 2023 issue of the Quarter Moon Story Arts NewsAudioLetter we explored the transformative power of storytelling to enliven and empower listeners to action by creating shared emotional experiences. The listener enters into and becomes the story so she can reckon with life encounters by identifying with the plot or characters without actually experiencing the consequences.

In the November edition I delve into the concept of origin stories, highlighting their role as the foundation of professional and personal identities carved from pivotal life moments and overcoming challenges. I encourage you to embark on an "archaeological dig" to discover your genuine storytelling voice, acknowledging that this process is not for the faint-hearted. But, the benefits of crafting an engaging origin story include self-discovery and identity, effective communication, brand development, leadership impact, and the ability to present oneself, one's work, one’s narrative in a compelling  manner.

To help you get closer to creating your origin story, I’ve provided two practical exercises. The first involves exploring character traits through a partner's prompts, while the second encourages recalling and dealing with pivotal life moments using your bonus gift, the Story Spine framework .

As my clients have learned, your origin story is the most consequential story of your life. Why? It tells the story of how you got from there to here. Your story in your voice will connect with, engage and influence your audience to action while also transforming the lives of those you serve. Nothing else has that power!

CTA: Let's dive into your Origin Story: covering everything from what it is to the challenges to the gains. If claiming your origin story sounds like something you’ve been waiting to do click this LINK to learn more and subscribe.
