As the name suggests, this episode is all about the potential power of pausing before reacting. We hear an old and very sad cautionary tale, a song, and an interview with the talented Gordi, an incredibly gifted Australian folktronica singer/songwriter whose music has been featured in various television series and films. Listeners will hear how Gordi copes with stress, nerves, and anxiety and what she does for joy.

Harry Garside is an Australian boxer. He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning the bronze medal. This marked the first time an Australian medaled in boxing at the Olympics in over three decades!
In 2024, Harry hoped to win gold at the Tokyo Olympics but was knocked out of the competition early on. How Harry responded to this immediately after, and in the next 24 hours, won his fans' admiration worldwide. Harry is famous for defying gender stereotypes, often wearing nail polish and the occasional skirt. In this interview, the kids wanted to understand more about what brings Harry joy and how he thinks pausing before reacting might be helpful. This bite-size episode is a pre-cursor to our final episode for this season: The Power of the Pause.

We have a book coming! It is for 9 to 13-year-olds and is all about being perfect. JUST KIDDING! The book is on a mission for children to understand and celebrate their enoughness and to lose any belief that their self-worth comes from ‘winning’ or ‘being the best.’ The book is about reclaiming the power of imperfections and shifting our focus to kindness, awe-hunting, curiosity, and living courageously.
In this bite-size episode, Alice, the author and far from perfect yet totally good enough person, gives a sneak peek into the book.
