If 2020 has taught me anything it's, that no matter my plans, no matter how much control I think I have over something or a situation- I don't. In this episode, I share how lack of control is really a blessing in disguise because the truth is, we really have no control over what happens to us in life- good or bad.  I know you went into this year with a plan, with goals and dreams and you feel like you've been set-back but I want to encourage you that the limits you view as a set-back are really just an opportunity.  This opportunity may be in our lives to get us to jump outside of our comfort zones and think of our selves and our lives as fully worthy and capable of receiving what we want out of life- and when we don't, in the process, learning what it takes to fill our cups back up so we can brush the dirt off our feet and keep walking into our new season of life.    

Whether you identify yourself a part of the black community or not, now more than ever is the time to speak together, fight together & put our words, our anger... our PAIN into action.  Pain of the death of innocent black lives is exhausting- to say the least and as soon as I heard about the deaths of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor, George Floyd- the list goes on, I knew there was more I needed to learn about resources in my community or right at the tip of my finger tips that I could action immediately. In this episode, I share platforms and resources you can use as a starting point to action change, reform, and justice within the Black community whether you identify as black or not.  We have work to do and there's no other way to start but than together, standing united and speaking united.  I hope you use these shared resources as a starting point and motivator to do more than just post about a relevant and trending moment but to use your voice, your platform, your passion to create the change we can live to see and our children's children can see.  XO, London P.S. want a list of the resources I chatted about in this episode?  Send me a dm on Instagram(@LondonKasmir) and I can send you my resource list to get you started! 

Disappointment is something I feel like we all can relate to- whether it's something we're currently facing or have dealt with in the past it never feels good and can many times be detrimental to our emotional and mental health. In this episode, I share what to do, what to think & how to react when people disappoint you.  If you're like me you may oftentimes say something like " Why can't they treat me like I would treat them?" This is a lesson I have personally learned a lot from and something I think will continue to be a life long lesson for me.   Here I talk through a few reasons why people disappoint you, how to process it in a constructive way and what to do so you don't stay stuck in however this disappointment makes you feel.  I hope you enjoy this episode!  XO, London

So many times in our lives we identify fear with weakness and this state of mind can cripple our motivation, confidence & even our faith. This fear oftentimes creates a false narrative we continue to play in our minds over and over again until we talk ourselves out of doing what we were destined to do -or facing something we meant to face. It happens to the best of us and it's something I personally struggle with too!  I want to help talk through how fear shows up in our minds, how we can channel its negativity to create positive outcomes in our lives and action steps we can start today to help quiet our minds little by little every single day so we can kiss fear bye-bye.  

I want to walk through a few ways we can shift how we're thinking, what we're thinking about and what we're doing to stay positive while social distancing. I understand this is a challenging time for everyone and everyone's experiences through this may vary but, I do believe the more we shift what our minds are focused on the more we can control the positive outcomes we have during this time. Let's start some new challenging routines and habits that will strengthen our minds and bodies to come out of this mentally and physically stronger than ever!
