Lesbians and Guys Support the Miners! And they did back in 1984 where a small group managed to raise funds, raise awareness and potentially change the labor movements in England with their support. Its all in the 2014 movie Pride which is set in &#8217;84 and tells the story of how Mark Ashton and his group supported a group of Welsh miners who were on strike.<br />
Its a moving and funny movie with an incredible cast and a soundtrack full of 80s bangers. Everything from Bronski Beat, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, Dead or Alive, Yazoo, The Smiths, King and the Communards.<br />
