  3. Promotional photography is different --- Example rakhi post on Instagram.

Top 3 social media for artist | Pannus Quilling Podcast | Episode 5

Life without social media is one thing we can't think of in today's world of learning and sharing. But is social media helpful to you as an artist? And which are the top 3 social media platforms artist can use for their growth.

We can bifurcate social media into two categories

It is as follows

  1. As a learner or hobbyist
  2. For learning new things / More about what you know about
  3. For inspirations / ideas
  4. As a creator -- Showcasing your work/to get more clients (marketing or promotion)/Sharing your knowledge/Or if you have any other monetization plan for your art
  5. Youtube --  As a learner--You can explore new artwork from various artists in your or another artform/Now, this is how I started. I have talked about this in my earlier podcast of before turning your hobby into a business ------ As a creator --- Showcasing your artwork and helping or inspiring new artist in your art form/Even if you are a learner, you can share your experiences and also failed attempts to help other artists/I to have a Youtube Channel what we give
  6. Instagram -- Instagram works mostly on photos/So it is best for showcasing your artwork/And Connecting with other artists/You can show your art journey on Instagram stories to connect more with other artists, and possible buyers can see the hard work behind your art. ----- And the same topics that I have covered in youtube as creator and learner.
  7. Pinterest ---- Pinterest is probably the 3rd most significant search engine after Google and youtube./It is mainly for collecting inspirations./ Having your artwork on Pinterest as an artist is a plus point to get your artwork to reach more and more people./I am doing some experimentation on Pinterest to get more people to know about PQP, so stay tuned for more on this topic.

How to find inspiration and yet not copy

How to find inspiration and yet not copy

Sharing my experience of getting inspiration for new artwork as an amateur and then in process copying other artist's work thinking it is ok and how I understood artwork is not just technique but the thought, Concept, and ideology behind it. And you should respect the artists' work and not copy it entirely. I have also given ideas of where you can find inspirations and ideas without getting copyright issues.

What Things You can Make With Quilling

Paper Quilling is an Art that is made by rolling, folding & molding paper. This art has come a long way since it started as a hobby to a full-time business. If we talk about it as a business, it has to have a couple of products that can be sold, they fall into certain kinds and in this podcast, I tried to list them out. If you have any more you can add to it and get to me on my social media handles and we can be friends.
