Big Channel Changes and Update!
<p><strong>Fall back & regroup! </strong>In any battle it is important to occasionally evaluate your tactics. So that is what this post is all about. Youtube has been waging war on free speech for years with outright censorship and shadow banning accounts they find threatening to their political ideology. Constitutionally speaking they have every right to do so. That being said I’m tired of loosing battles video after video. </p><p>For a bit of context, I have more than 100,000 subscribers(on YT), but most videos these days will get only a few hundred views. Which is less than when I had 1,000 subscribers. Then when you factor in that most videos have an average watch time of about 3 mins, that means that I am putting in a ton of work creating videos that are essentially not getting any views at all. </p><p>So moving forward I need to adjust my tactics and attack from a different angle. Therefore <strong>my next plan of attack is to move</strong> <strong>all the new Prepper SITREP videos and current event news analysis behind the Substack paywall.</strong> The main Youtube channel (and the free subscribers to Substack) will still get ALL of the Prepping, Survival and Gear Review videos delivered straight to their inbox via Substack. </p><p>Making this adjustment will <strong>give me the opportunity to give back to those subscribers who value the content through the monthly prepper gear giveaways.</strong> This will also hopefully help the main Youtube channel in the algorithm by getting rid of the “controversial” content that Youtube finds so offensive (<em>I have already deleted over 300 videos</em>). If it turns out that no one new chooses to sign up as a paid subscriber, then that will also signal to me that the content doesn’t have any value and should be stopped all together. That is also a good point of intel that I should take to heart and learn from while developing a new plan to move forward. There is no use making content if it holds no value.
