The Meat & Potatoes ft. Bronson Arroyo
In this episode, we host Bronson Arroyo, Red Sox 2003-2005. Known for his cornrows, music, & finesse pitching style, Bronson was an icon in his time in Boston. His first season as a full-time SP was in 2004. In that season, Arroyo was in the middle of noteworthy events including plunking Alex Rodriguez that incited the famous Varitek-Arod fight, having a groundball intentionally slapped out of his glove in Game 6 of the ALCS by (again) Rodriguez, and most importantly, the first Red Sox World Series Championship in 86 years.
He provides previously unknown backstories to these instances, as well as detailing his regimented little league childhood, passion for music, unique pitching style, carpal tunnel, and the unforgettable '04 Sox. Thank you, Bronson, for being kind enough to join and for providing an autographed baseball as a giveaway to a 2Seam Podcast listener.
