Keerti Gopal is a multimedia journalist, documentary filmmaker, and National Geographic Explorer. In 2021, she graduated from Northwestern University, where she organized with the youth-led Sunrise Movement Chicago and researched youth climate activism. She then moved to Taiwan for her Fulbright-National Geographic Storytelling Fellowship, where she documented stories of climate action and resilience through photo, film, and written media. She’s now based in Brooklyn, NY and has completed fellowships at Inside Climate News, The Lever, and Solutions Journalism Network. She is a graduate of One World Media’s Global Short Docs Forum for international filmmakers. Keerti is particularly interested in climate justice solutions and storytelling that center frontline communities and marginalized expertise. In her free time, she likes to hike, bike, and read fiction!
