After Larry passed away I was fortunate enough to pick through a lot of the records recently  acquired from his estate. Larry Cohn was best known for his influential box sets in the early 1990s that featured the complete recordings of Robert Johnson and Bessie Smith. He also was responsible for the influential box set “Roots ‘n Blues-The Retrospective 1925-1950”, a compilation of great 78rpm recordings of early county string bands, blues, country, gospel and jazz. Please subscribe to the show if you haven't done so already and share with family and friends.
