In this episode, I had the privilege to invite Dan Saxton! Dan was born and raised in State College, PA, graduated from Penn State in Architecture Engineering, post-college, married Esther, and moved to Charleston, SC, for two years. In January 2014, they moved to Boswell, PA, where he became Camp Director at Summer’s Best Two Weeks Lake Gloria. He has been in this position since, alongside raising four little ones: Molly, Josette, Vivian, and newly born Quade.

Testimony- the story of the ways God has been and at work and his faithfulness

If you were to go home and your parents were to say they do not believe in God anymore… Would you believe in God?

If you were to die tonight, where would you go? Would you go to Heaven? (scale 1-10)

Not steps I took to be on the straight and narrow; God did it and continues to do it.  

God’s steady hand draws me close to him

Faithfulness and steadfast love, covenant

hesed love- refers to the kind of love that is both promised and owned

Do all these good things but with selfish motives

Appearance of servant temptation to perform

Treating God like a magic 8 ball more than a friend, pursuing an answer rather than pursuing God

God is at work all around you.
