RIP Diets

It's the Season 5 finale, and we're kicking it old school with some extremely uplifting Food News about The Ghost of Diet Culture's Past, aka Gwyneth Paltrow, who announced that she's eating bread and cheese again! Then we open up the Mailbag to read a dear listener's "I Have a Bone to Pick" as well as a listener advice question. Thank you all for an incredible podcast season! Peace, love, RIP Diets.

Today we're talking all about Food Trends, with a special focus on desserts! I invited on professional baker, marshmallow maven, and fellow podcaster, Katherine Sprung, to talk all about how certain foods become trendy, if it's worth it to participate in the trends, and how the food trend cycle affects the seller as well as the consumer. This was a really interesting look at the hype machine that made the whole world obsessed with Cronuts, Crookies, Dubai Chocolate, and the monstrosity that is Crumbl. We also get nostalgic and revisit food trends that we participated in, and others that left us very confused. We also answer the age old question - is anything truly worth waiting in line to try?

It's another Thursday episode, and I brought back my Tuesday guest, Abbey Roberts RD, to complain some more with me! Abbey has a bone to pick with Tradwifery and everything that goes along with it. This was one of the best shit talking sessions yet and we really did not hold anything back. Hold onto your sourdough starters because we're coming for them too!!!

Oh boy... today we're talking all about MAHA, aka Make America Healthy Again, aka the pile of trash that is RFK Jr.'s public health agenda. I have a great conversation with Registered Dietician and one of my personal faves on Instagram, Abbey Roberts, about what MAHA is, why we should all be very skeptical of every single thing RFK Jr. says, and how the current conversation around public health is becoming a BIG distraction so that we don't pay attention to the things that actually matter.
