Rohn Brown received the Page Cook Axson McGaughy Lifetime Loyalty Award at Longwood University on June 5, 2026. The award is awarded periodically to honor alumni volunteer service to the university through active participation in alumni or university affairs, faithful and continued support in expanding the influence and prestige of Longwood University, and a history of philanthropic giving to Longwood. Part one of a three-part series celebrates Hollis "Doc" Powers, former Longwood College (Va.) Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor. Former LC Assistant Men's Basketball Coach Martin "Mo" Schoepfer and Janice Powers (widow) celebrate Hollis's life at Longwood and beyond. "Doc" passed away on February 15, 2024.

Part two of a three-part series celebrates Hollis's "Doc" Powers, former Longwood College (Va.) Athletic Trainer and Associate Professor. Jennifer Jarrett, Powers' daughter, reflects on her time with her father at Longwood as a young girl. She remembers the student athletes, including her bubble blowing tutorial from Longwood Basketball legend Jerome Kersey. "Doc" passed away on February 15, 2024.
