Dr Miklós Pohl OAM is a Melbourne-based plastic surgeon, violinist, violist, and founder of the Australian Doctor's Orchestra. Born in Hungary, he fled as a nine-year-old during the 1956 Revolution and arrived in Australia as a refugee. Music has been a constant thread through his life, from childhood violin lessons to performing chamber music across the globe.During COVID, Miklós wrote Music Is Medicine, featuring interviews with 28 doctor-musicians alongside his own reflections on amateur music making.
