This episode is part 1 of 2. In this episode, I will give you an insight into the benefits of email marketing, as well as talking about autoresponders. You will find out what they are, what you should be looking for in an autoresponder, and some info on the most popular ones out there. I want to share with you how list building can be done on a budget, or even free to get you started, since building a mailing list can be one of the most effective ways to increase your turnover and profits as an online business.  That’s because each email on that list represents a potential customer to market to and to sell to. Depending on the value of your products or services, this can represent a lot of money. The only issue? Building that list in the first place can take a lot of time, effort, and financial investment. Today I’m going to talk about the question that I’ve been asked many times by some of my coaching clients and that is:  Are Affiliate websites worth it? They’ve been marketed all over the internet and they are massive.  It’s a huge market out there and what they promise you to do is to purchase a ready-made website that has pre-prepared affiliate links in it and you can make tons of money. In essence, it sounds great, making lots of money by doing literally no work, apart from having a domain name and the money will just roll in. They also show you an enormous amount of pictures of how much money some people have actually made with those websites. My coaching clients have also told me ‘but it’s so easy to get ready-made affiliate websites’ and what I need to do is to get my domain name, upload a website in that domain name and the money will be going into my bank account within a few days… I would prefer the old fashioned way of signing up with an affiliate marketing site like one or all of the below: Skimlinks Viglink Awin CJ - Commission Junction Linkshare Register your interest as an affiliate with the affiliate websites.  Obviously, like all the links I share, with some of the links I actually do get paid a share of revenue as well for promoting those businesses.  So it works in both ways. I share with you what I suggest you could do and in turn, if you go and sign up to these affiliate websites, and they are free to sign up for, I will still get a revenue share from that company for promoting that business. In this episode, we’ll be talking about how to make money by starting a  YouTube channel. We all know YouTube is fantastic and over 5 billion hours of videos are watched each and every day. Research tells us that video is responsible for nearly 80% of all consumer web traffic. Another report says that 64% of video viewers are likely to purchase a product online after watching the video. You really should be starting a YouTube channel for a lot of reasons.  One of the best reasons is that uploading a video on YouTube is free. It doesn’t cost you anything. Sure, you have to create the videos but you can do that with your own smartphone. Some desktop computers and most of the laptops have built-in cameras and microphones. This means you can make videos without using any traditional camera or camcorder. I got for you today 5 different side hustles that you can start and earn some extra money. Before you make some money the obvious question that you will be asking is ‘how do I do that’ and ‘what do I need now’? You don’t need much; you need an internet connection and a computer or laptop. That’s really all you need. The power of making money outside your normal work and as a side hustle is amazing. You can connect with virtually anyone in the world with this work. These side hustles don’t require any money or investment to start,  but you will have to put in the work, the time, and the energy to make these methods work. As the saying goes ‘you get out of it what you put in’. You are here on this podcast because you understand that the internet can help you grow your business. You might not have a business right now, but even so, you can envision building an online presence that can eventually replace your current income. You might also be here because you want to do something with your spare time, spend as little money as possible but still make money. Your first side hustle business might not even take off. You may have to try a few different online business models before you find one that is perfect for you.
